New reaching Edulearnweb indicates financial clearance to pay December 2021 Allowances for Rotation Nurses has been given.
In a letter sighted by Edulearnweb, titled Permission to pay Rotation Allowance, the Ministry of Finance granted the request sent to the MoF in March 2022.
Some Five Thousand, Two Hundred and Twenty Nine (5329) Diploma Nurses and Midwives, and Allied Health Professionals who have completed their licencial exam and have started their one year-mandatory Rotation with the various Health Facilities across the country with effect from 1st October 2021 and have been verified by the Nurses and Midwifery Council will benefit from the approved 2021 Allowances for Rotation Nurses.
The approval letter further directed that the emoluments of the Interns should be charged against the Compensation of Employees Vote of the Ministry of Health in the 2022 Annual Estimates.

To ensure an allowance payment regime devoid of delays, underserved payments, and errors, the Ministry of Finance has further directed the Chief Director of The Ministry of Health to ensure all documents are processed on time and placed on the merchandised payroll to enable the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to effect payment of the Rotation Nurses Allowance of Eight Hundred and Seventy-One Ghana Cedis (GHS871.00) per month.
However, the Five Thousand, Two Hundred and Twenty Nine (5329) Diploma Nurses and Midwives, and Allied Health Professionals for whom the Financial clearance to pay December 2021 Allowances has been secured are to do the following. They must ensure they have their SSNIT and GRA tax numbers ready and provided before their probation period is over.

According to the letter, the effective date of Rotation of Diploma Nurses and Midwives should not be earlier than 1st October 2021, and should be terminated by September 2022.
