KNUST student honoured at International Sports Media Awards (AIPS)
Clinton Yeboah, a dedicated final year Media and Communication Studies student at the Department of Language and Communication Sciences of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), recently achieved international recognition at the 2023 International Sports Press Association Awards (AIPS) held in Barcelona, Spain.
This prestigious event celebrates the pinnacle of sports journalism globally and Clinton’s work stood out in an exceptionally competitive field.
Clinton was recognized for his insightful reports on the neglected state of the Nyinahin Sports Complex in the Atwima Mponua District.
His investigative work, which spotlighted the complex’s dilapidation and the resulting disappointment it has engendered among local youth, brought international attention to an important local issue.
Clinton’s report made it to the top five in the broadcasting category for the Young Reporters (Broadcasting) award, where he impressively placed fourth.
Further demonstrating his journalistic prowess, Clinton also made the shortlist in the Video Short Feature category with his compelling video piece titled, “Abandoned Nyinahin project: monumental disappointment to youth in sports in Ghana.”

Presently affiliated with the Multimedia Group, Clinton contributes to Luv Fm and Joynews, where his work continues to make significant impacts.
