The 2022 Free SHS School Selection Form Has Been Released By Free SHS Secretariat. The form must be filled with a candidate’s 6 school choices made from the available schools.
According to the Ministry of Education, it has added new schools to the list of schools. Some of the new public schools are newly built STEM Schools. In a related development, the Ministry of Education is putting in place plans to ensure it phases out self-placement from 2022 CSSPS.
It has also introduced the cluster feature for the school selection which allows candidates to choose [YES] for each category a school is chosen from. Once a candidate makes such a choice, the candidate will be considered for other schools within the same category in case he or she is not placed in a chosen school.
Note that for each school selected, the candidate must also choose a programme, and the accommodation type as well as check Yes or No for the Cluster option.
A Yes choice under the cluster option means the candidate wants to be placed in another school in the same category if he or she is not placed in a school he or she chose and a No choice refers to the opposite of the Yes option.
