[2022 UPDATED] List of Category C Schools In The Northern Region

Here, we have listed some schools in the Northern Region of Ghana that falls in the category C section of Senior High Schools (SHS).

Before European immigrants came to Ghana, education was mostly informal and based on apprenticeship. Ghana was called the Gold Coast before it got its own government. Before the British took over, the economy of the Gold Coast was based on subsistence farming. Farm products were shared among households, and people specialized in providing essential services.

But when Europeans and missionaries came to Ghana, they opened up new areas for education. As a result, Ghana’s education system has grown a lot over the years.

Category C schools are the lowest level in Ghana’s system for classifying schools. The Ghana Education Ministry used the school categories to decide where to put students who were moving from junior high schools to senior high schools.

Ghana has a total of 176 public schools in the category C level. Look at some few which belongs to the Northern Region,
