At the time of this publication, the 2022 WASSCE results release which was expected on November 30th, 2022 had not been done. WAEC informed the public on 22nd November that it had projected to release the results on the 30th.
Its failure to release the 2022 WASSCE results has caused students, parents, and other stakeholders a lot of unnecessary stress. Students have been attempting to check their results without success, and the Council has also not given any official update as far as Ghana Education News is aware.
Unfortunately, students have been checking their results on the portal with their newly acquired result checkers. Each effort to access the result returns a message “Invalid pin” among others.
It will be prudent on the part of WAEC as a key stakeholder to keep the public informed of its next line of action and provide a definite date for the release of the results. Students have been emotionally and mentally stressed in the last 48 hours. The last 24 hours have been a tough time for many of them, who have become overly anxious to check their results.
Students checking their results when it is not officially out should also be careful they do not mess up the checker’s validity.
Note that the checker can be used only three times, after which you will need another checker to check the same results for the student.
Avoid checking the results until it is out.
Do not let your friends have your checker, they can take screenshots and use them ahead of you going to check the results.
They can take a screenshot or get a photo of it with their phone whilst you are looking elsewhere and go ahead to use the result checker.
Be vigilant if you have the result checker. Do not let your friends have it.
If any of these should happen, you will not be able to check your results with your result checker again.
Do not buy the check from fraudsters, they will sell fake ones to you.
Do not key in the wrong index number the first time you are checking your results. If you do that, the checker cannot be used with the original index number.
This would mean that you can no longer use it with your correct index number to check your results.
Finally, note that WAEC permits the use of the result checker only three times on its system or on its result-checking portal, hence if you use it 3 times you, will not be able to use it to check your result for the fourth time. You will need to buy a new one.
Take note of the above and good luck as you check your WASSCE 2022 results for school candidates.
