2023 BECE Ends Today – Congratulations To All Candidates
The 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) has officially come to an end today, Friday, 7th August, 2023. French paper was taken on Friday as the last paper.
A total of 600,714 candidates sat for the 2023 BECE. Out of this number, 300,323 are males while 300,391 are females. 2137 examination centers were used for the exams. 21,027 Invigilators were available for the 2023 BECE.

There is always a mixed feelings from Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates after the bell is rang to end their last paper.
While some students are dancing and jubilating for the successful completion of their exam, others pray and thank God for seeing them through a hectic week
Some candidates also hug one another and exchanged pleasantries because they might not meet again. However the main celebration will take effect on Friday.
The exams was conducted successfully. However according to John Kapi, head of public affairs, four persons were arrested in Ashanti region, Tema Central, and Central region for Examination Malpractice.
Nine Heavily Pregnant Candidates Sit For The BECE At Effutu
“One individual was apprehended in the Ashanti region while attempting to enter the examination hall with prepared materials for the candidates. In Tema Central, a female individual was taken into custody for possessing a tablet containing information intended to be communicated to candidates. In the Central region, specifically Dunkwa-On Offin, two individuals were caught solving questions in the midst of the examination, which they intended to relay to candidates,”
“According to our rules and regulations governing the conduct of examinations at WAEC, any breach of these rules is promptly reported to law enforcement agencies. Subsequently, those individuals are charged and brought before the court.”

As of Thursday, fifteen Arrest had been made over Examination Malpractice.
