The 2023 budget for Ghana suffered a lot of controversies at the hands of Ghanaians and members of parliament. The minority in parliament beforehand, kicked against the passing or approval of the 2023 Budget.
On 6th December 2023, it have been confirmed that the 2023 budget has been approved by Parliament. On various occasions, the minority in Parliament seems to sake for the welfare of Ghanaians as they claim that, the 2023 budget is rather to cause more hardship in Ghana than to relieve Ghanaians from the economic challenges and crisis in Ghana.

Though the Minority in it debate asked the government to embark on heavy expenditure cuts to deal with the challenges facing the economy the budget was approved without any hitches.
