2023 WASSCE Dates And Structure For All Core Subjects
The 2023 WASSCE has officially begun. Candidates whose course or programme involve practical work such as Visual Arts and Technical students have already started. Let’s take a look at the various dates for each core subject and the structure of those subjects.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Social Studies paper will be written on 28th August, 2023. It will be the only paper for that day. The paper will start at exactly 8:30 am. Candidates will spend 3 hours on the essay type questions and spend 50 minutes on the objectives test.
The paper has two parts PART A and PART B.
PART B
The PART B of this paper will be written first. The PART B has been divided into three sections namely Section A, B and C.
Section A
It contains four questions in all. Candidates will be asked to choose two from any of the four questions in this section. The questions here are all based on the Environment.
SECTION B
You will be asked to choose only one from the three questions in the section. The questions in this section will be based on governance, politics and stability.
SECTION C
You will be asked to select only one question from three questions in this section . This section is based on Social and Economic Development.
PART 1(OBJECTIVES)
This part will be written after the PART 2. It is an objective test. Candidates Will be given a shading paper to answer these questions. It is made of 50 objective questions

INTEGRATED SCIENCE
This core subject paper will also be written on 18th September, 2023. The paper will also begin at 8:30 am. It will be a continuous paper. However candidates will take a break and come back to write the practical aspects of the exams around 2:00pm.
The paper has two parts, PART A and PART B.
PART B
Part B will be written first. This part has to do with both Theory and practical questions. This Part contains two sections, namely Section A and B.
Section A
This is the practical aspect. This part is compulsory. Usually, a diagram will be available for you to name its part.
Section B
This is a five theory questions for you to choose and answer four from it. All questions carry equal marks in this section ( Usually, 20 marks each)
PART A
This is 50 questions objective test.
2023 BECE RME Questions and Answers To Revise For The First Paper
CORE MATHEMATICS
Mathematics will be written on 14th September, 2023. It will also start at 8:30 am. There will be a break in between the essay and the objectives test.
This paper is quite straight forward. Candidates will be answer ten questions from the essay type questions.
Candidates will choose ten questions from a set of 15 questions.
Aside this, candidates will answer 50 other objective test questions.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE
This core subject will be written on 7th September, 2023. It is a continuous paper. It starts at 8;30am and ends at 11:00am for both papers(essay and objectives.
The English language paper usually takes a lot of time to complete. It is parked with several questions.
It has two parts, Part A and PART B
Part A is the objective test which is made up of 80 Objective Test questions.
The Part B is made of two sections, namely Section A and B.
SECTION A
This has to do with essay writing. Here, candidates will choose from 5 available essay topics to write on with 450 words.
SECTION B
This section has to deal with comprehension. Candidates will read a passage and answer questions on such passage
It also contains a passage where candidates will write a summary about it. All questions in this section is compulsory
