2026 WAEC School Selection Portal for BECE Graduates Activated by GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the activation of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) portal for capturing and uploading school selection data for the 2026 placement exercise. According to a circular signed by Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, Director of the Schools and Instructions Division (Secondary) for the Director-General, the portal will remain open from Monday, August 24, to Thursday, August 27, 2026.

Key Deadlines and Directives for Headteachers

• Portal Access: The portal is live at www.casswaecinternetsolution.org for the online capturing of candidate choices. If the portal is not opening, just copy the URL “www.casswaecinternetsolution.org” to Google Search and access it from there or use this https://cass.waecinternetsolution.org/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2f

• Pre-Testing Prerequisite: Headteachers who have yet to complete uploading candidate choices on the CSSPS portal for pre-testing must finish by the close of work on Monday, August 24, 2026, before proceeding to the WAEC platform.

  

• Concurrent Multi-PC Login: The portal allows school IDs and passwords to be used simultaneously across multiple computers. This feature is designed to help schools with large candidate populations upload data concurrently for a faster, more efficient process.

  

Monitoring and Enforcement

Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education, alongside Examination Coordinators, have been directed to closely monitor the exercise. Their role is to ensure all eligible candidate data is accurately captured, verified, and submitted within the strict four-day window. Regional Directors of Education are expected to relay these instructions immediately to all relevant jurisdictions to ensure total compliance.

RE: ACTIVATION OF THE WAEC PORTAL FOR CAPTURING SCHOOL SELECTION DATA FOR THE 2026 PLACEMENT

Our letter referenced GES/HQ/DG/494/2026 and dated 18th August 2026, on the above-mentioned subject, refers.

Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform all Heads of Junior High Schools (JHSs) that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) portal for the online capturing and uploading of candidates’ school selection data for the 2026 placement exercise will be available at www.casswaecinternetsolution.org from Monday, 24th to Thursday, 27th August 2026.

Headteachers who have not yet completed the uploading of candidates’ school choices on the CSSPS portal for the pre-testing are required to do so by the close of work on Monday, 24th August, 2026, and proceed to capture and upload the data on the WAEC portal.

The WAEC portal permits the same school ID and password to be used simultaneously on multiple computers. This facility will enable schools with large numbers of candidates to capture and upload data concurrently, thereby facilitating the timely and efficient completion of the exercise.

Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education and Examination Coordinators are directed to closely supervise and monitor the exercise to ensure that the data of all eligible candidates are duly captured, verified and submitted within the stipulated period.

Regional Directors of Education are kindly requested to communicate this directive to all concerned within their respective jurisdictions and ensure strict compliance.
