WAEC Opens 2026 Jan/Feb WASSCE Re-sit Registration

WAEC Opens Registration for 2026 WASSCE Re-sit Examination After Mass Failure in Core Subjects
Following the release of the 2025 WASSCE results for school candidates, which recorded widespread failure in core subjects, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially opened registration for the 2026 WASSCE Re-sit Examination, also known as the WASSCE for Private Candidates (PC).
Many students performed poorly in the core subjects, with over 51% failing Mathematics, while significant numbers also failed Integrated Science, Social Studies, and English Language. WAEC is therefore encouraging all affected candidates to take advantage of the re-sit opportunity.
