(UPDATED LIST): Best Category C Senior High schools In Ghana

Are you searching for the best category C senior high schools in Ghana? Stay with me as I take you through the best category C senior high schools in Ghana.

The Ghana Education Services adopted the category system (ABCDEF) to classify schools according to student enrollment, available facilities, and placement of students transitioning from junior to senior high schools.

Although there are more than 200 category C schools in Ghana, this post will concentrate on the top 8.

 Abakrampa Senior High Technical

In accordance with PNDC Act 207, which established senior secondary schools as a follow-up to the New Educational Reforms of 1987 and senior secondary schools in the nation, the Abakrampa Senior High Technical School was founded in January 1991.

Because of its convenient location and easy access from the neighborhood’s catchment areas for junior secondary schools, Abakrampa was chosen as the location for the new school.

Until the current site at New Ebu Junction was secured by the Abura Traditional Council, the school was housed in an abandoned Citrus Fruit Company shed in the middle of town.

The school is a sustainable model and unquestionably one of the best category C schools in Ghana. It is situated on 25 acres of land donated by the Nsona Royal Family of Abura State.

Gushegu Senior High School

Gushegu Senior High School was established under the PNDC in February 1991 as a part of the nationalization of secondary education.

Twenty-nine (29) men and four (4) women made up the thirty-three (33) students who attended the school when it first opened its doors.

When the school first began, it was housed temporarily in the Assembly Hall by the District Assembly because it didn’t have a permanent location.
