Keep your composure, achieve better WASSCE results – Minister to 2021 candidates

Ghana Education News| Keep your composure, achieve better WASSCE results is the latest advice to students writing their final examination.

The second batch of Free SHS students writing their WASSCE have been challenged by the Minister of Education to keep their composure and achieve better results in the ongoing SHS exiting examination.

At a recent meeting with WASSCE applicants in Northern Region, the Regional Minister Alhaji Shani Alhassan Saibu urged them to take the exam seriously so that they might obtain higher scores.

In addition, he encouraged them by stating, “Keep your composure and approach the paper like any other test, and you’ll do just fine!”

You’ve already accomplished a lot in your academic career, but the icing on the cake will be your success in these examinations, he added, urging students to approach the exams with a strong sense of focus and drive to succeed.

Dr Peter Attafuah, the Northern Regional Director of Education, joined Alhaji Saibu on a visit of Kalpohin Senior High School, Tamale Senior High School, Northern Business Senior High School, and Islamic Science Senior High School in the Sagnarigu Municipality.

During his visit, he met with candidates at Savelugu SHS and Pong-Tamale SHS in the Savelugu Municipality.

‘Make the area proud,’ Alhaji Saibu exhorted them, expressing his hope that they will help alter the narrative in terms of performance in the WASSCE.

So that the applicants could give good descriptions of themselves, Dr. Attafuah asked for retentive memory for them.

The English Language Paper for this year’s WASSCE began on Monday across the country. In October, it will come to an end.

This year’s examinations are anticipated to be taken by 12,415 boys and 8,953 girls from 31 public and five private schools in the Northern Region.
