UPSA application for staff scholarships open

The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) is delighted to announce that applications are now open for the award of a scholarship for eligible staff members. Staff members are therefore encouraged to apply for the university’s scholarship award. Successful applicants will study for either a degree or postgraduate programmes offered by the university as part of efforts by the institution to develop its human resource base for the future.
Students of the university are to note that this is opportunity can only be taken by a staff of the univerity and not a student persuing any programme.
Conditions for the award of Scholarship to UPSA staff applicants
• All applicants must have served the university continuously and satisfactorily for a minimum period of three (3) years from the effective date of appointment.
• Eligible programmes for scholarship funding are limited to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the university.
• The immediate supervisor must provide an evaluation report on the applicants’ performance and conduct.
• A member of staff who has been sponsored by the university to pursue further studies while carrying out his/her normal duties shall enter into a bond to serve the university upon the completion of the programme.
• No scholarship shall be granted within two years of recruitment or within two years of return from leave of absence or sabbatical leave.
• Beneficiaries of the award shall be expected to submit progress reports within the course of their studies.
Mode of Application
• Interested staff members should submit their applications to the Vice-Chancellor through their respective Heads of Department.
• Applications should include the required documents (application letter, updated curriculum vitae, admission letter, and any other relevant documents).
The deadline for submission of the UPSA application scholarships is January 31, 2025. Applications must be received while it is still open.

All staff who have gained admission into any of the programmes offered and have worked for at least three years in the university can now apply for this opportunity.
