Breaking News: Canada Reduces International Student Permits for Second Year

Canada Reduces International Student Permits for the Second Year In A Row To Ease The Pressure on Citizens. This makes Canadians feel less stressed when Searching For Housing and Other Services.

In a recent update, the Canadian immigration office sought to reduce the number of International Students entering the country for the second year in a row. Canada, according to the immigration minister, will cap the number of International Students allowed to enter the country for the second time in 2025.

This is one of the government’s promises since last year. The aim is to reduce the pressure on healthcare, employment, and housing in the country as most of these are occupied by international students.

According to the immigration ministry, the number of visas granted to international students in 2024 will be reduced by 10%, hence, the embassy will issue only 437,000 study permits to qualified applicants this year. This was released in an official statement.
