Top 50 Finalists of 2025 Junior Graphic National Essay Competition Held in Accra

ACCRA, GHANA – The national stage was set for the country’s brightest young minds as the 2025 Junior Graphic National Essay Competition held its second phase on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Fifty finalists from upper primary and Junior High Schools across Ghana competed in Accra and other regional centers for a coveted spot in the grand finale.

The competition’s journey began during the third term of the 2024-2025 academic year when students nationwide submitted their initial entries. From that vast pool of talent, the top 50 contenders were announced in early September, setting the stage for this week’s intense in-person essay examination.

The Challenge: Creativity, Reading, and Writing

Centered around the theme, “Nurturing Creativity: The Role of Reading and Writing,” the one-hour examination challenged students to tackle one of three thought-provoking essay questions on critical national issues and creative storytelling.

The head office of the Graphic Communications Group in Accra served as a major center, hosting approximately 20 finalists from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. To ensure fair and widespread participation, the remaining finalists took the same test simultaneously at the company’s various regional offices.
