In a letter dated December 6, 2025, and signed by the Ag. Deputy Director-General (Q&A), Dr. Munawaru Issahaque, the GES confirmed that the written promotion examinations for all eligible teachers will take place in the final days of the year: Monday, December 29th and Tuesday, December 30th, 2025.

The Breakdown: When Do You Write?

The GES has split the examination into two batches based on rank. Teachers are advised to check their specific dates carefully to avoid missing this crucial career milestone.

Day 1: Monday, 29th December 2025

• Who: Assistant Director II (AD II) & Principal Superintendent (PS)

Critical Instructions for Candidates

1. Be Early: All candidates must report to their designated centers no later than 8:30 AM each day.

2. ID is Mandatory: You will not be allowed entry without your original Ghana ID card.
