The Ghana Education Service (GES) has opened the teacher recruitment portal for the recruitment of a total of 7,000 teachers for 152 districts scattered across 16 regions. The recruitment, which is open to all qualified applicants. The vacancies opened are all for basic school teachers. When applying, pick districts in the Savannah, North East, or Oti regions. These have the highest vacancy rates and the lowest competition compared to the 50,000 total applicants.

- All trained teachers who have graduated from accredited colleges of education in Ghana and are seeking employment in public basic schools.
- All graduates who’ve successfully completed their various programs from various accredited tertiary institutions.
- All applicants who hold a Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) or other recognized education-related diploma qualifications and are seeking employment in public basic schools.
