UBA sends an important FRAUD ALERT message to all customers. Read the full details and take action to secure your bank details now.

In the wake of Mobile Banking Fraud in Ghana, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Ghana has updated its customers with the latest information to help customers keep their bank details secured.

UBA has therefore called on all its customers not to disclose sensitive bank account details to anyone. This information includes customers’ passwords, PINs, and OTP.

The customer notice further directed that the security credentials should not be made known to even staff of the bank.

The update follows several attempts by fraudsters to break into the Banking Mobile App of Fidelity bank which has been halted with the help of the Ghana police.

All persons who have and operate active and inactive bank accounts in any bank or financial institution are advised to keep their bank details safe and secured.

Note that your bank will not call you for your passwords, PINs, and OTP for the accounts you operate with them. In any instance where you receive such a call from any official number of the bank, do not disclose your sensitive details. In case you want to confirm, make time and visit the nearest banking office to make inquiries.

Also, do well to report any phone number that calls you to request any of these details. This way you will also be contributing to a safer banking environment where all customers are protected from the criminal activities of fraudsters.
