2022 BECE candidates beg for Apor: Check message, advise candidates

It is barely a month and a half to the 2022 BECE and candidates have started searching for Apor or leaked examination questions. Education blogs like Ghana Education News have their fair share of calls, messages, and all manner of requests from such candidates.

We at Ghanaeducation.org want to put on record that, we do not encourage students to seek leaked examination questions nor do we provide illegal services including the buying and selling of leaked BECE examination questions.

Candidates, teachers, schools, and parents are advised to channel their energies and resources into effective preparation for the examination.

One of the messages to the portal by a candidate who is seeking leaked questions to study ahead of the exam is shared below.

“Please, I am a student. And I am trying to get a good grade in this 2022 BECE and please I want you to send me the 2022 BECE questions and I will learn.
Please help me with this BECE. And please send the BECE question. Thank you for accepting it.”

Another student left this message…

“Hi, please am a Person of [Name deleted here]  and I am a final year student and please i may need the BECE questions”

We need schools, parents, and teachers to continue to educate their candidates on the need to desist from searching for leaked examination questions. There are already BECE and WASSCE leakage syndicates out there who are charging candidates and parents huge sums of money with the promise of providing them with leaked papers.

Stakeholders of education must continue to collaborate and help weed out such criminals.

The sad reality is that candidates are also looking for Mock questions and answers they are yet to write.

Parents should instead save these funds towards buying essential education materials and supplies for their wards for their SHS1 term 1.

Instead of students looking for apor, we encourage them to resolve all their mock papers, especially questions they failed to answer well or did not choose during the mock. Again, candidates should revise their past BECE papers and attempt to solve the questions for both school and private BECE.

They should engage in useful group discussions on topics, learn topics and reteach their colleagues.  These and other preparation efforts can help them do well in the upcoming BECE.
