Adum traders hoot at Akufo-Addo’s convoy as he tours Ashanti Region

More and more people can see that some Ghanaians are having a hard time because of the economic downturn. These traders hoot at President Akufo-Addo’s convoy.

The people don’t seem to be less willing to voice their concerns to the government, even though the government is promising better times ahead with the much-needed IMF bailout.

On September 24, young people at the Global Citizen Festival in Accra were not nice to President Akufo-Addo.

During the festival, the president spoke about the government’s efforts to put important causes first, which was in line with the organizers’ goal of promoting social justice.

But before the president could say what he wanted to say, the crowd of young people chanted against him.

As the President spoke, some of the people there laughed at him and chanted “Get out!” But people who work for the government have said that this was done by the opposition NDC, while the Tourism Minister says they were actually cheers.

About three weeks later, a similar thing happened in Kumasi, which is the capital of the Ashanti region.

On Monday, October 17, the President was going to look at the Kejetia/Central Market Project Phase II.

On their way to the Kumasi Central Market, the group ran into a lot of merchants in Adum who had set up their wares for sale earlier.

But when they saw the cars carrying the president and government officials, the group of market women, peddlers, and craftspeople didn’t hesitate to let the entourage know how they felt.

It should make it easier for the justices to find a place to live and speed up the process of deciding cases at the Appeals Court in Kumasi.

This means that justices of the court who travel from Accra to Kumasi can live in Kumasi. This will save money and time and help get justice to people faster.
