The University of Ghana residential fees for 2020/2021 academic year are out as announced by the university. The University of Ghana published the approved Residential Charges for the 2020/2021 academic year. This publication is to update both continuing students and likely freshmen ahead of the reopening of school in 2021 for academic work.
The Management of the University of Ghana (UG) reversed the initial decision to increase its facility user fees for the 2020/2021 academic year by 12%.
After several weeks of agitation from students and the general public and the subsequent directive from the government, a statement from the University of Ghana sighted by GhanaEducation.Org said: “the 2019-2020 fees will therefore be applied for the 2020-2021 academic year.”

This year’s charges are per modular.
The cost of residing in any of the traditional halls in the university ranges between GHC 267.00 and GHC 2,305.00 for local students (Continuing and Freshmen).

All undergraduate students who would seek residence on campus at the University of Ghana Enterprise Limited Hostels will be required to pay a residential fee of GHC 820.00 per modular.
Students are to note that all Ghanaian fresh students who will be admitted into residence will make an additional payment of GH¢100.00 as a levy for Generator.
Payments for the chosen residential halls can be made at the following banks: Standard Chartered, Ecobank, UMB, CBG, REPUBLIC, GCB, Standbic, Access, Barclays, Prudential, and UG Pay- Online payment.
Payments are to be made only if the residential accommodation has been allocated to the student by the university.

The early release of the University of Ghana residential fees for 2020/2021 has been welcomed by the general public since parents and guardians will plan ahead of the January 2021 admission and raise the needed resources.
