SAD NEWS: 7 Critically Injured As Church Building Collapses At Old Bortianor

Seven (7) construction workers are said to be critically injured after a church building collapsed in Old Bortianor, Greater Accra Region.

The Word In Action Church’s three-story auditorium in Ga South Municipality collapsed earlier today. According to reports, the disaster occurred while the victims were working on an extension project around the facility.

According to some eyewitnesses, seven people working on an auditorium extension project heard an unusual noise, but the building collapsed just as they tried to flee.

All of the victims were initially taken to the Bortianor polyclinic, and one of them was later transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital due to serious injuries.

The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has sent personnel to the scene of the incident to determine whether there are any more victims under the rubble.
