Marie-Claire Rupio, wife of the late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu, who died in the Turkey earthquake in February 2023, has written a song in his honour.
She had a microphone in her hand and headphones over her ears in the video, and she talked about loss and how she is coping after the death of her husband. Many Ghanaians prayed for her strength in the video, while others expressed how the song moved them to tears.
Marie-Claire Rupio, the late Christian Atsu’s surviving spouse, wrote a touching song in memory of her late husband. She posted the video to her Instagram account and explained how she was dealing with his death.
Marie-Claire Rupio was seated in the video, wearing headphones and holding a microphone as she recorded her verse. She began with a soft tone, climaxed with a high tone, and ended with a soft tone. This shift in tone, combined with her facial expressions and hand gestures, made the song extremely moving.
