GES Workforce Initiative (GESWI) programme: GES meets with Pricewaterhouse Coopers

The Ghana Education ServiceSenior Management team has engaged with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LTD Ghana as part of preliminary efforts towards the rolling out of the Ghana Education Service Workforce Initiative (GESWI) programme.

The (GESWI) programme will help the GES to among other things improve its human resources. The programme will help improve the GES workforce with focused execution of roles, continuous monitoring and evaluation that support children to learn at the right level and prepare them for life-skills training and future employment.

The specific benefits of the programme are likely to include:

  • Improved teaching and learning: The programme will focus on improving the skills and knowledge of teachers, so that they can better support students’ learning. This could include providing teachers with training in new teaching methods, or giving them access to resources such as textbooks and learning materials.

In a blog post by the GES on its official Facebook page, it said “GES Senior Management wrapped up its meeting with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LTD Ghana on the GES Workforce Initiative (GESWI) programme today.”
