GES has postponed ‘BECE’ 2023/24 Senior High Schools selection date

Information reaching Ghana Education News is that the Ghana Education Service has GES postponed the ‘BECE’ 2023/24 Senior High Schools selection date.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has postponed the start date for students to select their second-cycle schools from August 23, 2023, to September 4, 2023. The GES communicated the new date to AcademicWeek, but it is likely that the selection process will not begin until next week.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has also uploaded the Senior High Schools selection form online. The form can be downloaded from the MoE’s website, www.freeshs.net.

A video explaining the 2023 school selection guidelines has also been produced. The video will be played on radio and television stations, and it will also be available on the MoE’s website.

To download the Senior High School selection form:

1. Visit https://freeshs.net or download the link directly here.
2. Navigate to CSSPS Information and hover the mouse icon.
3. Click on the Download 2023 school selection form to download the 2023 school selection form.

The 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) was held for school candidates at 2,137 examination centers across the country, while 15 centers were used for the BECE for Private candidates.
