All teachers in both public and private schools are to be licensed to qualify and practice as teachers. This includes qualified and licensed teachers of the Ghana Education Service (GES)
The National Teaching Council (NTC) as part of efforts to ensure only qualified and licensed teachers practice in the education sector has set a date to commence the issuance of the license to qualified in-service teachers.
According to the communique in a press release copied to Ghanaeducation.org, the NTC indicated, the issuing of license for the in-service teachers would commence in the Greater Accra region on May 12th, 2021.
The dates for the remaining 15 regions will be announced later.
