When are SHS2 Green track students reopening school?

Form 3 students known as SHS2 Green track students are yet to reopen for the second semester since they vacated in March this year.

Per the earlier arrangement of the Ghana Education Service, they were supposed to have reported to school in April.

However, a new and late directive postponing the reopening of SHS3 students was announced by the education service.

This postponed the reopening of school for final year students in SHS3 who are preparing for the 2021 WASSCE scheduled for September – October 2021 to 5th May.

When are SHS2 Green track students reopening school?

The Ghana Education Service is yet to officially indicate any change in the reopening date for Green track SHS2 students.

However, since the SHS3 students were in school with the SHS2 Green track students, the general public is confused just as the Green track students in their second year as to whether they will reopen with the SHS3 students on the 5th of May 2021 or on 1st July 2021.

GES Update on reopening date for SHS3

The GES while updating the general public about the new reopening date for SHS3 students did not make mention of any changes in the reopening date for Green Track SHS2 Students.

Unless the Ghana Education Service comes out with an official press release contrary to its original calendar for Gold and Green Track SHS2 students, per the official calendar of the GES for Senior High Schools,

1. SHS3 students are to report to school from 5th May 2021.

2. Gold Track SHS2 and SHS1 Students are expected to vacate on 26th June 2021.

3. Green Track SHS2 students are expected to report to school on July 1st, 2021 to commence their second semester.
