After graduating from university, NAM1 started his own business, Brew Marketing Consult. In 2013, he founded Menzgold Ghana Limited, a gold dealership and investment firm. Menzgold promised customers a 10 percent monthly return on their investments.

In 2018, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Ghana (SEC) ordered Menzgold to shut down its operations because it was operating without a license. Menzgold customers were unable to withdraw their investments, and many of them lost their money.
