NPP Primaries: Delegate Angry Over GH¢400 From Bawumia's Camp
The NPP Primaries is ongoing and just in, one of the NPP delegate, identified as Sir Collins, has showed his intense anger towards Vice President Dr. Bawumia and his campaign team.
Sir Collins, an NPP delegate, was spotted angry over GH¢400 from the camp of Dr. Bawumia. The NPP delegate was seen angry and disappointed.
The NPP Delegates, Sir Collins, expressed his anger in an interview with GHOne TV. He deemed the act as insulting and hence he is very disappointed. In his words, he claims that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong had less support from the party members and high ranking members, hence he was able to give them GH¢300.
The Vice President Dr. Bawumia on the other hand has had support from high ranking members and profiles but gave them GH¢400 only.
His disappointment is towards the 100 cedis gap between the sums of money offered. In his view, the vice president should have offered something hug and better.
In his words, he revealed that despite receiving the 400 cedis from the team of the Vice president, he still voted for Hon Kennedy Agyapong regardless the amount he gave them.
Read what he said below;
“I voted for Kennedy Agyapong,” he said in the Ghanaian language. “Dr. Bawumia has the support of ministers, MCE’s and government officials, yet the team gave us GH¢400 while Kennedy gave us GH¢300. That’s an insult. How can you have the support of everyone and give us GH¢400 when an individual Ken is giving us GH¢300?”
Sir Collins who was seen angry argued that during the Super Delegates Conference, these delegates received huge sums of money from 20,000 to 40,000 Ghana cedis. However, in this November 4th primaries, they are receiving way less than that.
He emphasized on the point that, the delegates voting today holds the power to decide the official flag bearer for the NPP towards the 2024 presidential elections.
Sir Collins also disclosed that he and some of his fellow delegates has received threats. He also expressed his disappointment towards the party for the lack of support.
