Asantehene II donates trophy for 2024 NSMQ

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has donated a new National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) trophy to be given to the winner of the 2024 edition of the competition, Primetime Limited, the organizer for the NSMQ has disclosed.

The Managing Director of Primetime Limited, Nana Akua Aboagyewaa Mensa-Bonsu, announced the presentation of the new Science and Mathematics Quiz trophy at the grand finale of the 2023 edition of the contest held in National Theatre, Accra.

“We would be remiss of us not to say thank you also to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, for his support of the programme, having received us on three different occasions, warmly welcoming us to Kumasi on the occasions that we’ve been there, and even donating a cup to the programme starting next year. So next year there would be a more prestigious cup to fight for,” she said.

In a related development, the producer for the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ), Primetime Limited, has seeded more than twenty (20) Senior High Schools to participate in the 2024 edition of the Science and Maths Quiz.

End of Term Exams

The 27 automatically seeded Senior High Schools according to the NSMQ organizer will skip the preliminary stage of the 2024 edition of the competition and join qualifying schools at the one-eighth stage of the 2024 contest.

Among other schools seeded for the 2024 NSMQ are Keta SHTS, Tamale SHS, Kumasi Anglican SHS, Prempeh College, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC) Legon, Opoku Ware School and St Augustine’s College.
