The Ghana Education Service has released a new hotline for the 2023 school placement. All candidates and parents who have issues are advised to call this number. The staff is available only on working days, Monday through Friday of each week.

Some of the issues you can report for correction are as follows:

  1. A student is placed in a school he or she never chose.
  2. The school in which a candidate is placed is different from the schools on his or her official school list sent to the JHS he or she attended.
  3. The student is placed in a day school far from his or her residence.
  4. The student was placed in the actual school selected, but the accommodation or programme is not correct.
  5. The student is not placed but can also not find a school nearer as a day student. All day, students are in other regions far from his residence.
  6. The student applied for re-entry because he wrote the BECE in the previous year, but he or she has not been placed in any school.
  7. Other issues you have and need answers to should be redirected to the GES at the number provided.
