Newly Trained Teachers “Threaten” – Our Votes Will Take NPP To Opposition

Newly Trained Teachers - NO POSTING, NO VOTE”
It’s a few days to the December 2020 election and GES is under intense pressure from Newly Trained Teachers whose postings have not been realized by the Ghana Education Service (GES). Their message is simple “NO POSTING, NO VOTE”
This simple threat can cause serious damage to the chances of the ruling NPP. The Newly Trained Teachers have vowed to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) if their postings are not released before December 7th.
The affected teachers are those who completed their studies in 2017 to 2019. These batches of trained teachers say the government has not only disappointed them but they have been coax into believing their postings would be out.

This promise on which these teachers hinged their hope was made by NAPO in an interview he granted JAMAN 103.7 Radio on November 20th, 2020.
To further compound the problems of the graduates, the GES indicated that their postings were to be released in the shortest possible time.
According to a statement released by the Head of Public Relations Unit, Cassandra-Ampofo on 26th November 2020, she disclosed that if not for technical challenges facing the process, the postings would have been processed by the Human Resource Department.
In a related development, teachers whose Legacy arrears are yet to be paid are also asking the government to take the necessary action and pay their arrears before December 7th. These teachers have met all the requirements of the GESbut are yet to be paid their outstanding legacy arrears which were promised to be paid at the end of November.
