Requirements
To be eligible for the Japan Support Scholarship, applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Has been admitted to a Japanese university undergraduate or graduate degree program beginning in the spring (April/May) or autumn (September–November) of 2024, with enrollment confirmed.
- The applicant has registered with JPSS and received a message from the university via the “JPSS Scout function” before being accepted.
- Is able to interview in both Japanese and English.
- Has a Japanese bank account (in the applicant’s name) into which scholarship funds can be deposited. Internet banks will not be accepted.
- Is not a Japanese citizen.
