Students who seek to gain admission into universities in Ghana need to know the closing dates for admission or the deadlines for the top 9 universities to help ensure they apply while the admission portals are still open.
Below are the certified admission deadlines for the top nine universities
The University of Ghana’s admission portal closes on December 22, 2023.
KNUST admission closes on December 22, 2023.
University of Cape Coast: Students are to complete the application and submit it by the close of the day on December 22, 2023.
Admission to UPSA is open to student applicants until December 29 at 5 p.m.
UMAT admission ends on December 22, 2023. GCTU (Ghana Telecom) admissions will be closed on December 30, 2023.
UDS will keep its admission portals open until the end of December 29, 2023. UEW also announced that its admission portal will close on December 22, 2022.
Admission for interested applicants to the prestigious Central University ends in January 2024. UHAS, on the other hand, will close its admission portal on December 30, 2023.
All universities are expected to start giving admissions or sending admission notices on Saturday, December 23, 2023.
For candidates who had issues such as withheld, pending, blocked, or cancelled subjects or results and could not complete the admission process, note that the admission system of the various universities you applied to will flag you out of the admission system portal.
Note that all universities have their own cutoff points for each programme and the competitiveness of applicants for each programme determines whether you will gain admission or not.
The fact that you meet the minimum admission requirements and obtained a grade that falls within that required for admission into a specific programme does not mean you will gain admission.

Using middlemen to secure admission will also not work; hence, do not rely on informal so-called admission officers who do not have any connection with the university you are applying to. Such people will only charge you money and disappear into thin air.
Apply to programmes and universities; your grades will help you obtain them instead of playing the I wish and hope strategy. Be reminded of the admission deadlines for the top 9 universities and apply for those that are yet to close their admission portals.
