Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanteng is a Ghanaian diplomat, politician, and humanitarian.
Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen’s name cannot be avoided when discussing politics in Ghana, as he is a well-known and active politician who has held numerous political positions.
Alan is a New Patriotic Party member who ran unsuccessfully for the party’s presidential nomination three times (in 2007, 2010, and 2014).
He worked as a trade negotiator at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, where he oversaw the African Trade Policy Centre. He is mostly known by his nickname, ‘ALAN CASH.’
Alan has been the Minister for Trade and Industry since January 28, 2017, under President Akufo Addo’s administration.
Alan Kyremanten is a native of Patase, Kumasi, Ghana’s Ashanti Kingdom. In Ghana, he is descended from a mixed Akan lineage of Asante and Fante sub-ethnic groups. He is fluent in Twi, Fanti, and Ga.
