The Advocates for National Development International (ANDI) is a Ghanaian emanated international organization committed to empowering and transforming the youth towards personal and national development.
As part of the organization’s schedules on Wed. 11th March 2022 a convocation was held with students of Anglican Senior High School (KASS) at Kumasi on “Public Speaking And Confidence Building”.
This important programme took place at the school’s premises (Assembly Hall) at exactly 1pm. Approximately 200 student participants and 5 teaching staff were in attendance.
Among this student-population were the school’s debaters club, Science and Maths competition team, the Students Representative Council and the Literary Group. Teaching staff present were heads of these groups of students.
Aside the theme set for the programme, the organizers ensured that each student was assisted to acquire tips on how to speak in public. The students were trained on how to build self-confidence and to have healthy self-esteem as well.
Speakers at the “Public Speaking And Confidence Building” were the general overseer of ANDI, Marfo Hussain Yusif, the Regional Coordinator, Miss Faustina Nartey, the National Treasurer, Miss Adams Leticia, and the vice national president Sulkabe Paul. Each presenter had a wonderful impact during the speech.
It was no doubt therefore that many students approached us at the end to have a one-on-one discussion with us on their personal issues relating to the programme and theme.
The organizers were grateful to the school’s staff and administration for the opportunity to organize the event and looked forward to future collaborations. Long live ANDI; Long live KASS, Long live GHANA.
