Back To School Campaign: Don’t fear COVID-19, go back to school – GES

The Back To School Campaign of the Ghana Education Service (GES) to ensure learners go back to school is underway across the country. One of its aims is to challenge students to go back to school and not fear COVID-19.
The encouragement from the GES is part of efforts to whip up learners’ interest to return to the classroom on Monday 18th January 2021.
The Back to School campaign has been rolled out to educate parents, students, and other stakeholders, allay their fears and ensure all school children, including girls who are pregnant return to school.
The GES has also indicated that adequate safety measures have been instituted with the sole aim of protecting pupils, students, and teachers from COVID-19.
The GES in a memo, sighted by GhanaEducation.org disclosed that supplies such as Personal protective equipment (PPEs), veronica buckets, and tissues have been dispatched to schools throughout the country.
GES also added that every all students will be equipped with a reusable washable face mask on the school reopening day for their safety, health, and protection.

“Don’t be deterred by Covid 19. Get ready and go back to school. The schools have been made safe for effective teaching and learning”, the Education Service stated in a get back to school campaign.
