Before You Carry Money And Give It To Your Pastor As Tithe Again, Read This Verse From The Bible
Do you have to give tithes? Does the Bible claim that failing to pay tithe makes one a sinner? Have we read the Bible incorrectly? I can see why people feel compelled to give God 10% of their income, but it’s important that they really comprehend what God is saying.
Even though most people make an effort to read the scriptures in light of their own worldviews, it’s possible that the texts themselves have a different meaning.
In Deuteronomy 14: 22–29, the Lord God Almighty commanded his people to eat their tithes in the place where he had appointed to house his name (the Church). If the Church is too far away, they were to convert their tithes into gold, take it there, and spend it on whatever they pleased before eating it in the presence of the Lord God Almighty.
Our bodies are God’s temples, so we must tithe there since they serve as His buildings. Thus, we must put our tithes to good use.
There are so many reasons for you to pay tithe and these are some of them;
To carry out God’s order: According to the Bible, tithing is a way for us to demonstrate our obedience to God. Bring the entire tithe into the storehouse so that there will be food in my house, the Lord commands in Malachi 3:10. The Lord Almighty says, “Test me in this and see if I won’t open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you won’t have room enough for it.
To aid in the church’s work: Tithing can assist in funding church activities such as pastors’ salaries, upkeep of the church building, and missionary projects.
Pastors today are becoming wealthier while churchgoers are becoming poorer by the day. Do you notice that? How has it been with you all these years of paying tithe? Do you still have FAITH? Are you shaken that things will/might not go well? How are things now? Have you asked yourself why you are not doing so good?
It is a must that every believer pay his or her tithe. When one comes to accept Christ and knows the will of God, he or she will know that Christianity is a life not a religion, hence tithe should be paid, so far as you earn an income, 10% of it belongs to the Lord.
