Beware Of Fake SHS Placement Portals – GES Warns

The Ghana Education Service (GES) ahead of the release of the 2023 SHS placement of candidates who sat for the 2022 BECE, has cautioned the public, particular students to be wary of an ongoing school placement scam.
The Service in a communique sighted by ghanaeducation.org urged to the public to disregard any information or message by some unscrupulous persons indicating they can select a preferred choice of Senior High School (SHS) for a candidate.
According to GES, it does not charge money for the computer school placement, thus parents, students and the members of the general public are advised not to make any payments or fall prey to the ongoing posting scam.
“Management of Ghana Education Service(GES) wishes to announce to the general public that preparations are ongoing for the release of Senior High School Placement for the 2023/2024 academic year.
“Management strongly cautions the general public NOT to fall prey to the deceitful persons that may approach them to pay money for a place in SHS. Such persons are to be reported immediately to the Police .
We also advise the general public to beware of fake news portals and instead follow GES official social media handles.
