CAGD 2026 salary payment dates for government workers out
The Controller & Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) 2026 Salary payment dates out for all government workers. This important information comes about two months to the end of the 2025 salary year.
Apart from January and December 2026 and when the (CAGD) will pay salaries on 23rd and 21st respectively, all others months will be paid between 25th and 27th. According to the communique the dates provided are the dates on which banks will be crediting bank accounts of all civil servants and other employees of the state.
It further indicated that, should there be any changes in the dates; the (CAGD) will communicate it to stakeholders.
In a letter dated 23rd October, 2025, the (CAGD) stated “Notice is hereby given that in the year 2026, Salaries and Wages of Civil Servants, employees of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and all other Public Servants paid by the Controller and Accountants-Generals’ Department will be on the dates indicated below:
MONTH PAYDAY
January 23rd – Salary Month 1 for 2026
February 26th – Salary Month 2 for 2026
March 26th – Salary Month 3 for 2026
April 27th – Salary Month 3 for 2026
May 26th – Salary Month 3 for 2026
June 26th – Salary Month 3 for 2026
July 27th – Salary Month 3 for 2026
August 27th – Salary Month 3 for 2026
September 25th – Salary Month 3 for 2026
October 26th – Salary Month 3 for 2026
November 25th – Salary Month 3 for 2026
December 21st – Salary Month 3 for 2026
The banks will begin crediting employees’ accounts on the dates specified above.
Any changes to these dates will be duly communicated.
In a related development, there CAGD will be the November and December 2025 salaries per the salary schedule it released for the year as planned. All persons on government payroll will be paid on November 24 and December 18 respectively before the year ends.
