CAPBuss Support for Private Educational Institutions being processed according to President Nana Addo.
In his 22nd address, he indicated that the government is ready to support private educational institutions with CAPBuss funding to help them stabilize their operations.
The Coronavirus Alleviation Programme (CAP) Business Support Scheme is a Government of Ghana initiative to support MSMEs in Ghana.
Private educational institutions in both the Pre-tertiary and Tertiary levels did not receive government support between March and December 2020 during COVID-19 although they applied for support.
“That is why, in our attempt to mitigate the impact of the pandemic, the CAPBuss initiative, being administered by the National Board for Small Scale Industries, has started disbursements to applicants from private educational institutions, many of whom have been hard-hit by the pandemic. More disbursements to these institutions are being processed.” The president said during his 22nd address to the nation.
Private educational institutions were the hardest hit by COVID-19 as they had to close down for ten months until now.

Schools that have applied for the stimulus package should be expecting their disbursement from CAPBuss if they met the requirements and were approved as beneficiaries.
