CHAN 2023: Black Galaxies fight back to beat Sudan
In the Championship of Africa Nations match that took place on Thursday at the Stade Chahid Hamlaoui, the Ghana Black Galaxies defeated the Sudanese national team by a score of 3-1.
Ghana had to come back from being down by one goal in order to tie the game and eventually end up winning it. This was not an easy task for Ghana.
After 32 minutes, Sudan took the lead after a well-coordinated move that was finished off by Al-gozoli Nooh. This move put Sudan in the lead.
Due to the efforts of Konadu Yiadom, the Black Galaxies were able to draw level just before the break, which resulted in the first half ending in a draw.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Suraj Seidu scored for the Black Galaxies to give them a 3-1 lead after the break. Despite the fact that both Ghana and Sudan had a goal disallowed after the break, the Black Galaxies won the match.
As a result of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh’s sending-off early in the second half, Ghana was forced to finish the match with ten players.
As a result of Ghana’s victory today, the country’s chances of advancing to the knockout stage of the CHAN 2022 tournament have improved significantly.
