Court grant bail to Businessman over threat of death

A businessman was given GHS100,000.00 bail with two sureties after he was accused of making a death threat.
He denies threatening to kill someone and illegally possessing a gun.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Maxwell Oppong told the court, which was led by Madam Patricia Amponsah, that both the complainant and the accused, Charles Chibuke Ejtobi, were Nigerian businessmen who lived in Accra’s Achimota neighborhood.

He said that they were friends until recently, when their relationship turned sour.

ASP Oppong said the accused would pull his gun on the complainant at the slightest provocation.
The prosecution said the accused person threatened the complainant on September 29, 2022.
The accuser was making too many threats, so the complainant called the police, so they could look into the situation.
ASP Oppong said the suspect admitted to the crimes in his caution statement and registered the pump-action gun but not the pistol.
