Dampare Did Not Apologize To My Family And I Will Never Forgive Him For That- Aggrieved Ghanaian Cries Out

A Ghanaian prominent personality named Madam Golda Naa Adaku Addo, has written a message to IGP George Dampare. This follows the silence of the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, on an assault on her father and his siblings by some men from the Ghana Police Service.
According to Madam Golda, today marks exactly one year since that incident happened. For that reason, she wrote a message to the IGP to register her resentment and disappointment in his leadership.
Check out the message;
IGP and the Ghana Police Service – serving the highest bidder, or safeguarding Ghanaians?
Exactly 1 year ago by this time, my father, his brother and sister – all in their early 70s – had been grabbed and handcuffed to chairs in the reception area of the Operations Center of the Ghana Police Headquarters with no charges being officially read them of their crime.
They had been raided aggressively in their homes by several men in action gear and guns, who refused to identify themselves and read out the basis of their arrest to them.
They were hit over and over with the guns, knocked about, and grabbed and thrown around in a manner that left my aunt’s privacy (anatomical) exposed and all of them physically bruised and dishevelled.
They were kept in this reception area for hours on end with no dignity or care or offer for water or food, and kept handcuffed for most of this time in a position that hand them twisted and hands behind them locked to parts of the seat.
Whether they were on medication or not physically healthy to be treated this way was never a concern.
After I and a few colleagues had raised hell via calls and social media, they were uncuffed and family was then allowed to see them.
It was later that we were informed that some group of people had gone to the IGP or some office under the police to accuse our family of wrongfully breaking down and taking over land that they had built on.
Without seeking evidence of this, our family was attacked. Meanwhile, the 60 acres of land in question had been ours for over 100 years, we had legally received a judgment that it was ours and we could take possession from the encroachers and land guards, and we were only carrying out the court’s orders. But it was we who rather got assaulted, vandalized, brutalized, and accused. Even with ALL our documents and evidence.
The IGP’s people who were assigned afterward to resolve the error, have so far been scattered and appointed to new places, have not been contributive to any aspect of the new proceedings, and have all but “disappeared”
Calls do not get picked up or responded to, and an official petition and letter to the IGP have also gone unanswered.
Although various offices of the Police, including the IGP, made calls directly to us on the day of the assault (1 year ago), to apologise for the wrong done us, none of them have stayed committed to ensuring that the wrong is actually reversed, or the court actually knows the truth of the matter (about who the real criminals and encroachers are).
As I keep adding to the list of names of the police officers who were involved in this horrible wrongdoing, I will like the IGP to know that he can either build a legacy, or he can build a tower of shame and crime. Let the history and evidence show that currently, his role in our saga has been one of darkness, shame, and wrongdoing.
Igp George Akuffo Dampare, in your early 70s, may neither you nor your wife be assaulted in your home by unidentified armed men, your wife’s body revealed by men she could easily give birth to, and both of you thrown into a vehicle and taken to the police headquarters and handcuffed in a contorted position, in the open space, for hours, without food or water, without access to family, and with no charges given you as to why all this has been done to you. All because some criminals have decided that they want your family land, and have found a way to use the police as mercenaries to make it happen.
May all who are complicit never find rest nor peace nor health.
