Deadline for the closure of UG admissions portal
The University of Ghana (UG) Legon has announced the closure of their application portal.
The deadline for the closure was subjected to 31st October,2025.This date was made based on estimated time for the release of the 2025 West African Senior Seconday Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) results .The delay in the release of the results made changes to be done in the closure of the portal.It was then extended until the release of the 2025 WASSCE results .
On Saturday,29th November,2025,the WASSCE results was released.The new application deadline for the 2025/2026 academic year has been moved to 2nd December,2025 at 5:00 pm.Applicants are advised to log into their application portal and make corrections if necessary and submit them before the deadline is due.
The release of the results comprises of students with withheld papers.These students are 6,295 in numbers.The West African Examination Council(WAEC) claim there is an ongoing investigations in the papers withheld by them.Students are encouraged to be patient for the investigations to be done successfully.Some students will have their results to be cancelled if copied work or Artificial Intelligence (AI) is detected.
Applicants who applied for courses in the college of health sciences and passed the entrance exams are expected to check the portal for their interview dates if the cut off point is met.Those who do not meet the cut off point are expected to make changes as soon as possible before the deadline date is due.
Applicants are advice to inform friends,relatives and colleagues to review and change the programme choices if they do not meet the cut off point .
