Ghana Education News Scholarship Update: Dr. Adutwum gives full scholarships to 61 engineering students.
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Education Minister gave the full scholarships to the 61 engineering students from Bosomtwe through his personal efforts as a way of giving back to his people and Ghana as a whole.
Why the full scholarships to 61 engineering students?
The students who were all selected from the Bosomtwe Constituency in the Ashanti Region which is represented in Parliament by the Minister was part of his commitment towards producing 100 engineers in the next ten years from the constituency. The 61 students add up to the first batch of 30 engineering students who were sponsored in 2021 by the minister.

To facilitate their learning and the use of IT during their period of study, each of the 61 students awarded the scholarship were also given Laptops.
According to the Minister, each student’s fees, boarding, feeding, and transportation have been catered for as part of the full scholarship.
These freshmen will be studying at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University for Development Studies, University of Mines and Technology, University of Energy and Natural Resources, and Kumasi Technical University.
While commenting on the full scholarships to 61 engineering students the minister said “My vision of ensuring that Bosomtwe gets 100 Engineers within the next ten years is on course.”
