Dr. Duffuor will make Mahama sweat for NDC’s flagbearer slot – Ben Ephson

Renowned Ghanaian pollster Ben Ephson has revealed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer election ahead of the 2024 elections will be difficult.

He predicted that Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a former Finance Minister and ex-Governor of the Bank of Ghana, would win the election.

With former President John Dramani Mahama widely regarded as the favorite, Ben Ephson believes Dr. Duffuor will fare better than many expect.

“Clearly, Dr. Duffuor will give the former President a run for his money, but he (former President Mahama) will emerge victorious,” he said of the competition between former President Mahama and Dr. Kwabena Duffuor.

Former President Mahama will win the flagbearer race, but not by the 95 percent margin he won in the previous flagbearer race.”

He claims that the former President has already won the hearts of the party faithful, with some executives publicly declaring their devotion to him, which Dr. Duffuor cannot break.

Former President Mahama has appealed for public support ahead of the NDC’s national executive elections.
