The electricity Company Of Ghana ECG is one of the vibrant working forces behind the electricity in Ghana. The company periodically calls for the maintenance of their systems in other to give continuous power supply to all users. When the maintenance is not performed on time, places are likely to experience unexpected blackouts (Dumsor) which does not give a good credit to the company.
Some areas in the Greater Accra Region will experience blackouts on Thursday 25th of May 2023. This is a notice from the electricity company of Ghana. In the official communique from the electricity company of Ghana on Wednesday 24th May 2023. The electricity company of Ghana announced to the general public that the blackout which is mostly recognized in Ghana as “Dumsor” will be a result of planned maintenance they intend to undertake on Thursday 25th May 2023 which will affect the flow of power in the areas to be affected. The blackout is expected to last from 9 am to 4 pm. “ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of the exercise”. Section of the statements read
Katamanso Police Land, ECG quarters, Paradise Estate, Sweden Medical Centre, Amanfrom, Ashieyie Reservoir, Adom Gate, Ashieyie Fulani, Tetegu, White Cross, Sampa Valley, and Surrounding areas.
All the affected areas must take the notice very serious so that the maintenance associated with the blackout (Dumsor) will not cause damage in the homes of the affected peoples.
