The Colleges Of Education have started the gradual release of the 2020/2021 admission list per information gathered by GhanaEucation.Org.
The first batch of successful applicants have started receiving admission status messages via SMS.
The admission which is being released in batches started on Friday 20 November 2020. Applicants who receive the admission confirmation have up to 4th December 2020 to pay their approved admission.
According to our sources, the next batch of Bachelor of Education Admission to the 46 Colleges of Education will be made public on 18th December 2020.
The second batch of students who are successfully admitted have up to 21st December 2020 to pay their admission fees or lose the admission gained.
So far, GhanaEducation.Org can confirm that Accra College of Education, Komenda College of Education, SDA College of Education, and Kibi College of Education have commenced admission of freshmen into the Four-Year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
Applicants who have applied for admission are advised to log onto the admission portal of the colleges to check their admission status since poor telecommunication networks may hinder them from receiving the admission notification.
Alternatively, all applicants can also visit the campuses of the College of Education they applied for to check their admission status.
Finally, students who applied for admission can also visit the social media handles of the colleges on Facebook to receive more updates on admission.
Applicants who gain and secure it by paying the admission fee before the closing date will study one of the following degree programmes depending on the college and programme into which they have been admitted.
a. B.Ed. Early Grade Education.
b. B.Ed. Primary Education.
c. B.Ed. JHS Education.
Candidates awaiting the MAY/JUNE, 2020 WASSCE, and NABPTEX RESULTS were advised to apply for admission however, many opted for the Universities but with the release of the results, there are candidates who are looking for a second window of opportunity to apply for colleges of education.
Some of these candidates obtained CREDIT PASSES (A1-C6) in Six (6)subjects comprising Three (3) Core subjects, including English Language and Core Mathematics, and Three (3) Elective subjects relevant to the course of study but the competition for admission into the various universities will make it difficult for many of them to gain admission.
