Mid Semester Break for SHS3 students announced by GES
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has declared a Mid Semester break for SHS3 who are final year students preparing for the 2021 WASSCE examination for school candidates.
According to the GES, the Mid Semester Break for final year students covers students in technical schools.
Dates for Mid Semester Break for SHS3 students
The break starts on Tuesday, July 20 to Sunday, July 25, 2021. Academic work should resume on Monday, July 26, 2021.
This was contained in a memo to all Regional Directors of Education. The GES furthered that “Students who do not wish to go home or find it difficult to go home should be allowed to remain in
the school and Heads are to ensure that they are fed and follow all school rules.”

The Regional Directors of Education are to communicate the decision of the Ghana Education Service to all Headteachers in their regions and districts.

MID SEMESTER BREAK FOR FORM 3 STUDENTS IN ALL SENIOR HIGH AND TECHNICAL SCHOOLS
Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform all Heads of Senior High Schools
that all form 3 students are permitted to go on Mid Semester break from Tuesday July 20 to Sunday
July 25, 2021. Academic work should resume on Monday July 26, 2021.
Students who do not wish to go home or find it difficult to go home should be allowed to remain in
the school and Heads are to ensure that they are fed and follow all school rules.
By this letter, Regional Directors of Education are to inform all Heads of Senior High Schools to take
note and to communicate same to staff, students and parents.
